Frequenty Asked Questions

What makes Flourish Horse Health different from other horse feed brands?

We focus on whole, functional ingredients that support the horse’s digestive system first. Instead of fillers, molasses, and cheap by-products, our formulas use high-quality fibers, balanced amino acids, natural antioxidants and gut-supporting compounds to promote genuine, long-term health.

Is your feed suitable for all horses?

Yes, our feed is formulated to be nutritionally complete for horses in a wide range of life stages and workloads. If your horse has specific health considerations, we’re happy to guide you on ideal feeding levels.

Does your feed contain molasses or hidden sugars?

No. We do not use molasses, syrups or unnecessary sugar sources. We prioritise low-sugar, slow-release energy that supports calm energy and a healthy digestive system.

Are your products suitable for laminitic or metabolic horses?

Yes. Our formulas are low in starch and sugar, making them suitable for horses prone to laminitis, EMS or insulin dysregulation.

Are your products GM-free?

Yes, we do not use genetically modified ingredients.

Does Flourish include fillers?

No. We avoid low-grade fillers and instead use highly digestible fibre sources that support gut function and overall health.

How do I know how much to feed my horse?

Please refer to our feeding guideline section of the product page for more information.

Can I feed Flourish alongside other feeds or balancers?

You do not need additional balancers or vitamin supplements, as our feed is already formulated to be nutritionally complete.

Will Flourish help with behavioural issues or excitability?

Many horses become calmer once they are on a low-sugar, gut-supportive diet. While feed is not the only factor in behaviour, balanced digestion and nutrient support can have a noticeable positive effect.

Do you offer samples?

Yes, if you’d like to try before you commit, just get in touch and we’ll advise on the best option.

How long does it take to see results?

Most horses show changes in coat condition, digestive comfort and overall vitality within 4–6 weeks. More complex issues may take longer as the gut restores balance.

Is Flourish suitable for competition horses?

Absolutely. Our feeds provide slow-release, sustainable energy without the “sugar highs” associated with traditional high-starch feeds.

Can I feed Flourish to older horses?

Yes absolutely, our digestible fibres and amino acids support muscle maintenance, joint health and easy chewing. If your older horse struggles with chewing, we can guide you on soaking options.

Where can I buy Flourish?

You can order directly from our website or from one of our growing network of stockists. We offer reliable delivery across the UK.

Who can I speak to for personalised support?

Our team is always happy to help. Just send us an email advice@flourishhorsehealth.com with details about your horse, we’ll offer friendly, practical advice tailored to their needs.

Is Flourish fed wet or dry?

Horses are natural chewers with large grinding molars designed to grind and chew fibrous foliage. Chewing encourages saliva production which buffers gastric acid, so an important function for the horse to prevent inflammation and ulcers. Flourish is designed to be fed dry for this reason, unless your horse has dentition, choke or other issues, in which case, Flourish can be fed damp or wet to suit.
