The Flourish Foundation
Equine nutritional health has always been my deepest passion, and that passion has grown into a lifelong mission to support horses who are suffering or in need. After many years working in Andalucía, Spain, and across the border in Morocco, I witnessed firsthand the daily struggles of working donkeys, mules, and horses. Those experiences taught me that even small, practical changes can transform the lives of equines working in harsh conditions.
The Flourish Foundation was created to build a long‑lasting legacy of meaningful, hands‑on support — one that combines education, sustainable solutions, and compassionate action to improve the wellbeing of working equines and the communities who rely on them.
Our Contribution
Sustainable projects work best with self sufficiency and education, so this is the basis for the Flourish Foundation. Going forward we will begin feeding the Foundation with a percentage of our revenue to build a solid base from which we can both offer support for ongoing projects, along with our own projects where we are able to help with expertise and practical solutions, such as nutrition (formulated locally for sustainability), shelter and welfare/equine education centres.

Flourish Foundation: Supporting Horses in Crisis
In wartorn Ukraine, NGO Horse Paradise is caring for more than fifty rescued horses — from underweight elders and nursing mares to horses brought in from close to the front line. With hay scarce and conditions harsh, they needed a feed that was safe, digestible, and suitable for every horse in their care.
Flourish was able to nourish them all. Its fibrebased, cerealfree formulation meant older horses, stressed rescues, nursing mares, and newly recovered frontline horses could each receive balanced nutrition without risk to their sensitive digestive systems. The team at Horse Paradise described the donation as a lifeline.
Horse Paradise is not only a sanctuary for horses. It also supports veterans, families, and those still serving — offering a place where people and horses heal side by side. As they say, when a veteran smiles for the first time while stroking a rescued horse, two stories of recovery meet.
This delivery, supported by British Ukrainian Aid, the British Equestrians for Ukraine Fund, and other donors, included feed, rescue trailers, water troughs, blankets, heaters, tack, and essential equipment. Through the Flourish Foundation, we are committed to maintaining ongoing support for horses and the people who care for them.
