How to use

Flourish is made from soft, chopped grasses, herbs, linseed and micronised ingredients.

Flourish does not contain hard cereals or large, dry pellets, which means horses can comfortably chew them without added moisture.

Horses naturally produce large amounts of saliva when chewing and this plays a huge role in digestion:
• Chewing creates saliva, which helps soften feed
• Saliva naturally moistens and lubricates food before swallowing
• It also helps buffer stomach acid, supporting a healthier gut

Because Flourish encourages proper chewing, horses produce plenty of saliva to process it safely even when fed dry. This mimics how they eat forage in the wild.

Some horses can benefit from their feed being slightly soaked:
• Older horses or those with dental issues
• Horses who bolt their feed
• Those recovering from illness
• Horses needing extra hydration

Feeding Guidelines

Flourish is a complete and balanced feed designed to complement forage. As grazing herbivores, horses should have a diet based primarily on fibrous forage or foliage.

Pregnant and lactating mares have increased nutritional requirements and should be fed accordingly. Clinical cases should be managed individually, please consult your veterinarian if you have any concerns.

The chart below provides a general guide to daily feeding amounts. Feeding rates are based on average intake and should be adjusted to suit each horse’s weight, workload, metabolism, age, life stage, and seasonal or environmental conditions. As a guide, one standard Stubbs scoop holds approximately 2 kg of Flourish.

Feeding guidelines are indicative only, every horse has individual nutritional needs.
